Terms and Conditions for requesting bookings through www.grandstay.nl

It is implied that, by making a booking through Grand Stay BV with one of our providers’ apartments, you agree to accept the terms and conditions of Grand Stay BV as stated below. You also agree to accept the specific terms and conditions of the provider of the booked apartment.

Apartment Provider

Grand Stay B.V. is a platform where professional parties offer apartments on. The term ‘apartment provider’ refers to the specific party offering the apartment. Grand Stay BV itself doesn’t offer any accommodation.

Limitation of Liability

Grand Stay B.V. shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage that may arise as a consequence of the client's use of the apartment, including without limitation, damages, insurance, and losses due to fire, robbery or criminal behaviour.

Reservation

Your reservation is made directly with the apartment provider. By confirming your reservation with this provider you are entering into a contract with this specific provider and not with Grand Stay B.V. by making a booking with an apartment provider you agree to accept the specific terms and conditions stated by the apartment provider as well.

Payment

Pre-payments and further payments as a result of entering into an agreement need to be paid directly to the apartment provider according to the conditions made known to you prior to the start date of the agreement.

The client, prior to vacating the premises, must settle all accommodation charges including any "extras" charges to the apartment provider.

No payments of accommodation rental or charges for “extras” are made to Grand Stay BV directly.

Security Deposit

Some apartment providers require a security deposit prior to arrival, with some providers it is possible to have this deposit charged to a valid credit card. Please ensure you are aware of the terms for deposit of your provider. Information on Terms and Conditions are provided with every apartment advertised.

If damage or disturbance to other guests has occurred, the cost to apartment provider for the damage or disturbance that has occurred will be deducted from the security deposit, and the remainder returned. If this cost exceeds the value of the deposit, apartment provider reserves the right to charge the excess to the guest's (or guests') credit card(s)

Check-in & Check-out Time

You must comply with apartment provider’s rules for checking-in and checking-out. If there is any delay in vacating the apartment beyond the agreed time, the apartment provider might charge a late check-out fee as specified in their terms and conditions.

Cancellation

Please read carefully the cancellation policy of the apartment provider to ensure you are aware of all rules regarding cancellation and alterations of bookings made.

If you need to cancel a booking urgently, within 48 hours, and it is outside office hours, you are advised to inform apartment provider directly using the contact details supplied by them.

Any cancellation may be liable to pay cancellation charges. Depending on the reasons for your cancellation, you may be able to reclaim these cancellation charges from your insurance company, if you have taken out travel insurance. You are strongly recommended to obtain appropriate travel and personal insurance cover.

Apartment provider will not be liable for any delay, loss, damage or expenses incurred if your booking needs to be altered or cancelled or apartment provider is unable to perform the contractual obligations as a result of events beyond his reasonable control, which shall include but not be limited to events such as war, civil strife, terrorist activity, labour disputes, natural or man-made disaster, fire, flood, and adverse weather conditions.

Alterations

If you wish to alter your booking (e.g. change the dates of your stay or the accommodation requested), apartment provider will use all reasonable efforts to comply with your request, however apartment provider cannot guarantee that they will be able to do so and no liability is accepted for any loss, damage or additional expense that may be incurred in that circumstance. Apartment provider will always endeavour to re-rent any apartments you no longer require but cannot guarantee this. In circumstances where the apartments cannot be sold, the stated cancellation policy by provider will apply.

Occupants

Only persons confirmed at the time of booking may occupy the apartment. You may not re-let/sublet the apartment to any other third party without prior written approval. The number of persons permitted to occupy the apartment is limited to the number of beds available and this limit may not be exceeded without our prior written approval. Apartment provider reserves the right to refuse admittance to the apartment if this condition is not complied with.

Behaviour

The client will be liable for the correct and decent behaviour of all the persons accompanying them. Should that person, or any of the persons accompanying him/her not behave in a suitable and responsible way, apartment provider shall be entitled to request the client and the persons accompanying him/her to leave the apartment without the right to claim any type of compensation. Drugs are strictly prohibited in and around the premises of all apartments. In some apartments it is allowed to smoke tobacco in the outside areas such as the terrace or the balcony.

Damage

Apartment provider will not be responsible for any loss or damage to your goods or personal belongings kept at the accommodation. You are also responsible for taking all-reasonable care of the apartment and its contents. The apartment and all equipment, utensils, furniture, etc. must be left clean and tidy at the end of your stay.

Except in the case of normal wear and tear you are responsible for any damage to the apartment or its contents during your stay, which has occurred due to the negligence, wilful default or irresponsible behaviour on the part of yourself or those occupying the apartment or their guests. Any damage must be reported to apartment provider without delay.

Fair Use

You and your party agree to be considerate tenants and to take good care of the apartment(s) and to leave it/them in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. You and your party also agree not to act in any way, which would cause disturbance to those residents in neighbouring properties.

Force Majeure

The rules relating to renting short-stay properties in Amsterdam are continually being reviewed and adjusted by local government. Such laws may change without (significant) advance notice. In the event that new or existing laws governing the short-stay rental of properties, which may have an adverse effect on such rentals (including, but not limited to prohibition of such rentals), come into effect, apartment provider will endeavour to relocate any pending arriving parties in alternative accommodation (to a similar standard). In the event that relocation is not possible or not desired by the guest, apartment provider will refund any monies paid for affected accommodation. Apartment provider will not accept responsibility for the enforcement, amendment or introduction of such laws, and no compensation (beyond refunding of deposits) will be entertained.

Adjustments

Apartment provider reserves the right to update any of its terms and conditions at any time, as may be required and as may be in line with the company's business. The onus is placed on all parties using the website to undertake adequate measures to ensure that they review any such terms and conditions on a regular basis. By agreeing to use our booking website(s), it is implied that any such third party accepts any such changes, and that any such third party undertakes to comply with any such changes.
